Installation

SURF is built with .Net and requires Windows 10+ 64bit and NetFramework 4.6.1. It comes bundled with 7zip, openssl, Notepad++, and several required DLLs.

To install the application:

  1. Get the msi from https://download.sophos.com/tools/SURF2.1.0930.0.msi
  2. Run the msi as Administrator on the local machine
  3. Accept any/all UAC prompts

If any issues occur during install, that can’t be resolved through the installation log, please contact the SURF development team at: SURF development team [Partners-only group]

Once SURF is installed, it will check for updates on each launch. You will get a prompt that a new version is available – please update as soon as possible.
