Create new Azure secret

You can create a new Azure secret to solve synchronization problems between Azure and Sophos Cloud Optix.

You can receive a “sync failure” alert when the application secret for the Sophos Cloud Optix Entra ID app has expired or changed.

You can solve this by creating a new application secret in Azure and applying it to your Azure environment as follows.

  1. Sign in to your Azure account.
  2. Search for the Sophos Cloud Optix application in Entra ID.

The application is called AvidSecure Monitor App 999x9.

  3. Create a new application secret. See Authentication: Two options.

  4. Copy the new application secret value.

  5. Sign in to Sophos Cloud Optix.
  6. Click Environments.
  7. Search for the Azure environment with the error, then click it. You can also click the edit icon in the list of environments.

The Settings for the environment appear.

  8. Go to Cloud Optix App and click Change Azure Secret.

  9. Paste the application secret value you copied earlier into App Secret.
  10. Click Save.
