DHCP client receives incorrect DNS server and gateway information.

Cause

If you bind a MAC address in more than one DHCP server configuration, you may get some incorrect DHCP information. By default, the firewall provides DHCP information in the old format, which can cause the error.

Using the new method ensures the firewall provides the correct DHCP information.

Remedy

On the CLI, enter 4 for Device console and change the method of generating the DHCP configuration file to new using the following command:

system dhcp conf-generation-method new
