Installing a FleXi port module in HA

To add a FleXi port module to an existing HA setup, do as follows:

  1. Turn off both firewalls.
  2. Install the FleXi port module on both the firewalls. You can install the same FleXi port module on both firewalls.
  3. Start both firewalls.
  4. Configure the FleXi port module with an IP address on the primary device. This IP address is synchronized with the auxiliary device.
  5. Save the IP settings configuration. Traffic doesn't flow through this interface until you save the IP settings configuration.
