Troubleshooting: Couldn't upload new firmware
New firmware doesn't upload if the file is incompatible or corrupt, or if the hardware doesn't have the standard configuration.
Cause
Wrong or incompatible firmware image.
Remedy
You're uploading a firmware image that's incompatible with the active version. For compatible versions, go to Sophos Licensing Portal and see the versions listed for the device.
Cause
Incorrect firmware image or appliance hardware.
Remedy
The appliance (hardware, virtual, or software) hardware configuration doesn't meet the firmware requirements.
- For hardware appliance details, see the Release notes.
- For virtual and software appliance details, see the Virtual and software appliance installation guide.
Cause
Corrupt firmware.
Remedy
Use a different firmware version. Alternatively, download the firmware image from Sophos Licensing Portal and move Sophos Firewall to it.
