Ports

Use the ports page to configure CoS, bandwidth control, and storm control on a per-port basis.

CoS Mapping

Use the CoS mapping section to configure the following CoS settings.

Option Description
CoS Set the CoS value from 0 to 8. The values correspond to the configuration you set under Global settings.
Trust state

Not set: Trust state isn't configured.

Enabled: Trust any CoS packet marking at ingress.

Disabled: Don't trust any CoS packet marking at ingress.
Configuration source Shows where the port has been configured from.

Bandwidth control

The bandwidth control feature lets you define the bandwidth settings for a specified port's ingress and egress rates.

Option Decription
Egress (kbps) Set the egress bandwidth in kilobits per second (Kbps). You must use multiples of 16, ranging from 16 to 10,000,000. If you set the field 0, egress bandwidth control is disabled.
Ingress (kbps) Set the ingress bandwidth in kilobits per second (Kbps). You must use multiples of 16, ranging from 16 to 10,000,000. If you set the field 0, ingress bandwidth control is disabled.
Configuration source Shows where the port has been configured from.

Storm control

Storm control limits the number of broadcast, unknown multicast, and unknown unicast frames accepted and forwarded by the switch. You can enable storm control per port by defining the packet type and the packets' transmit rate. The switch measures the incoming broadcast, unknown multicast, and unknown unicast frames rates separately on each port and discards the frames when the rate exceeds a user-defined rate.

Option Description
Broadcast (Kbps) Set the number of broadcast packets in kilobits per second (Kbps). You must use multiples of 16, ranging from 16 to 10,000,000. If you set the field 0, broadcast storm control is disabled.
Multicast (Kbps) Set the number of multicast packets in kilobits per second (Kbps). You must use multiples of 16, ranging from 16 to 10,000,000. If you set the field 0, multicast storm control is disabled.
Unicast Set the number of unicast packets in kilobits per second (Kbps). You must use multiples of 16, ranging from 16 to 10,000,000. If you set the field 0, unicast storm control is disabled.
