Configure Mac devices to use DNS Protection

If you're using a DNS cloud service, such as Google Public DNS or Cloudflare DNS, configure your users' devices to directly use DNS Protection.

To configure Mac devices to use DNS Protection, do as follows:

  1. In Sophos Central, go to My Products > DNS Protection > Installers.
  2. Next to IP addresses, click Copy to copy the DNS Protection IP addresses.
  3. On the Mac device, in the top right, select your network. For example, click the Wi-Fi logo and select Wi-Fi settings.

    Select your network.

  4. For your network, click Details.

    Go to network details.

  5. In the left pane, click DNS.

  6. In the right pane, under DNS Servers, add the IP addresses you copied from Sophos Central.

    The DNS servers page.

  7. Click OK.

  8. Repeat these steps for all the active networks on the device.
