Add a gateway

You can set up an on-premise gateway or a Sophos Cloud gateway.

  • Set up an on-premise gateway

    In on-premise deployment mode, gateways are deployed in customer-managed data centers and customers manage the data plane. These gateways are internet-facing.

    Set up an on-premise gateway

  • Set up a Sophos Cloud gateway

    In Sophos Cloud deployment mode, Sophos manages the gateways. The gateways aren't internet-facing. The gateways link Sophos Cloud with internal resources.

    When you set up your Sophos Cloud gateway, choose the point of presence nearest to your datacenter to reduce latency.
