Apps pending installation

For Android Enterprise devices, there’s an Apps pending installation section on the Installed apps tab. The section shows the installation status of Managed Google Play apps.

Installing a Managed Google Play app on an Android Enterprise device involves the following steps:

  1. You run the Install command on the Apps - Android Enterprise page in Sophos Mobile.
  2. Sophos Mobile sends an installation request to a Google server.
  3. Google installs the app on the device.

Based on these steps, the installation status of an app can be one of the following:

  • Installation request to be sent to Google: You’ve run the Install command.
  • Installation request sent to Google: Sophos Mobile has sent the installation request to Google.

When Google has installed the app, Sophos Mobile moves it from Apps pending installation to Installed apps.
