Fix endpoint or server tamper protection
Ensure that tamper protection is turned on for your devices. See Tamper Protection.
This page shows how to fix computers, but the steps are the same for servers.
If you see a banner warning that tamper protection is off in Global Settings, you must turn it on there before you fix the computers.
If Account Health Check warns that tamper protection is turned off for computers, you can turn it on automatically or manually.
If you choose to turn tamper protection on automatically we do this for all your affected computers. You can review the changes in your audit log.
To turn on tamper protection automatically, do as follows:
Click Fix automatically in the warning.
Confirm that you want to turn on tamper protection for your computers.
To turn on tamper protection manually, do as follows:
Click the link in the warning. The link is on the number of computers affected.
If you have problems with the link, go to your computers list and use the filters to select Computers with tamper protection turned off.
You see a list of the computers that need attention. Select them and click Turn on tamper protection.
Go to Account Health Check. The tamper protection check now shows that your computers are protected.
